Are you using any battery saver app or any app that claims to charge faster?

Do you replace old adapter with original adapter or some third-party adapter?
And, this commonly happen in Mi devices when you use your phone even at 1% and charge it when it turn off.
So, now solution which I got for my device was turn off your phone plug in charger for about ½ hr. plug out now press volume down and power key simultaneously and select reboot option. This might help.
Else both doesn't work there might be some internally displacement visit service center wether it's 80kms away only they can help. Remember call them before going there ask them wether device parts available at there center or not. Because it's common these days you have to left device at service center.

If u have any fast charger then charge for 30 minutes...if not then borrow from neighbor or friends...Don't switchon the phone in that period...Then remove charger and switch on...If it's fine then continue to charge...
Nothing will happen to mobile if u use other chargers....It's just our thinking...
If then all is OK then original charger have issues...It's only 2 months old...So u should get replaced...
