No company prepaid sim of other state will work, only postpaid sim of other state will work in J&K. If you take temporary prepaid SIM(known as Yatri SIM ) in J&K then that sim will work in J&K but that sim will not work after you cross Pathankot and enter Punjab or other state in India

Today recharged my Airtel prepaid with 398 and got

Enjoy Unlimited National Calls, daily 1.5GB data and 100 National SMS. Also get additional 400MB data per day. Validity 82 days.

Basically got 1.9gb/ day for 82 days. Better than jio indeed.

I got 10 GB add on before. Only 7.7 GB presently left .

But I didn't get any add on for today's recharge though my recharge is done before present pack expires.
