In my view sachin is better than sanga..
we should not forget that he (sachin) has not scored single century in the last 40 innings and that has degarded his statistics.
If you remove those 40 innings than he has better record.further he has dismissed in 90s 18 times in ODIs and 10 times in test cricket and holds the record for highest number of dismissals in the 90s (a total of 28 times) across all forms of international cricket ( but here we are only considering test cricket..)
Sachin has played 200 tests and still his average is very good that shows how consistent he has been..
sachin has also taken 42 wickets in tests while sanga has 0 wickets..
Sachin has scored 1562 runs in 2010 while sangakara's highest score is 1242 runs in 2006

In my view sanga is also very good batsman but sachin is better than him..

Once Shane Warne said, he wud rate Sachin better than Lara, not bcoz he is a better batsman, but bcoz Sachin bears the pressure of expectations from a country of 100 crore + people.

Lara, after the match got over, cud go into a bar/pub and drink beer, party hard... and nobody wud have any problems on that, even no media wud be interested to cover him doing so..

But Sachin wouldnt be able to do that, just bcoz he is "larger than life" in India... he cant live normally... cant party normally... all d media's eyes are on him.
