Samsung is pushing out a software update for the international version of Galaxy S III smartphone that removes the local search functionality from the built-in Google search app. Although dubbed as a stability update, it is more like a pre-emptive measure from the Korean manufacture to avoid any patent trouble from Apple.
Earlier this month, Apple got Galaxy Nexus banned for some period in the United States based on the infringement of patent governing the same technology.

There is no clear change-log available right now for the update, but according to user reports - the update also makes the phone faster and fixes the crackling issue with audio.

The update build number is XXBLG6 and it 27MB in size. It can now be grabbed over-the-air or via the company's Kies application.
