Samsung Could Launch The Galaxy A9 Pro in India next month

Last year, Samsung launched the Galaxy A9 in China with 6-inch full HD display and 4,000mAh battery. In March this year, the company launched a slightly beefed up version with metal and glass design, 5,000mAh battery and Android Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box. Now, if reports are to be believed, Samsung could launch the Galaxy A9 Pro in India next month.

Citing sources, SamMobile reports that Samsung has been developing firmware for India region and the Galaxy A9 Pro carrying model number SM-A9100 is likely to be headed to India. The Galaxy A9 Pro sits on the top of Galaxy A-series, and just below the top-end Galaxy S-series.

It flaunts a 6-inch full HD (1080p) Super AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. It is paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. With 32GB of onboard storage, a microSD card slot is also present.

In the camera department, the Galaxy A9 Pro sports a 16-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. With a massive 5,000mAh battery, connectivity options on the smartphone include dual-SIM 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and GPS. On the software front, you get Android Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under TouchWiz UI. The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner, embedded inside the home button.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro price
Offered in gold, pink and white color options, the smartphone is priced at RMB 3,499 in China, which is approximately Rs 35,500. However, the price, launch date and availability in India isn’t known yet.
