Maybe they will add Sports channels on Jio TV and Jio Users can watch from there

What I feel is they will link live streaming to jio tv app and jio users can access it for free, just like we used to have before when ipl was free for jio users via jiotv and it used to open on hotstar and ig only on mobile it will be free and on tv/laptop it will be completely paid service

Everything will move to hotstar not just sports .
But this quarter it will be transfer of technology only not content

Is it too difficult to move content from one streaming to another since we are however closing down jio cinema?

Seems Jio top level executives following Onlytech and based on our members post understood Disney Hotstar app is superior to Jio cinema in all aspects and took this decision. Any way good to all except free sports.
Hope this also they will provide based on our posts.

I've discussed many time about keeping hotstar instead of JioCinema and main reason for that is getting sudden change in paid subscription in JioCinema won't be appreciated by the industry. Meanwhile, hotstar is already paid and industry already very much aware about it's working model.
Additionally, the name is going to be big issue with the platform like Airtel and Vi which give bundled subscription with their plan. Better they go with "hotstar" only.
