Reliance Jio is now the number one telecom operator in the country in terms of both subscriber base as well as revenue market share, achieving the feat after a little over three years of commencing operations in September 2016.

The Mukesh Ambani-led telecom company added 5.6 million mobile subscribers in November, taking its total to 369.93 million subscribers users, and replacing Vodafone Idea as the country’s largest mobile services provider, data released by the telecom regulator for the month of November showed.

Reliance Jio is the largest telco in India: TRAI

Before we all jump to conclusion that this is all because of Mukesh Ambani and the support he enjoys from BJP government bla bla bla ...... These are few facts to consider:
  • Vodafone Airtel Idea were actively not paying taxes to the government and this case was started way back. They must pay whatever is due as decided by honourable supreme court.
  • Jio obtained license to start telecom company at dirt cheap price when Congress was in power. They bought out a company called Infotel in 2010 who held the spectrum.
  • Mukesh Ambani publicly lent support to Congress candidate Mr. Milind Deora during 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
  • He exploited a loophole where he held free trials for everybody so that they could try Jio network for free. There was no provision for prohibition of such trials back then.
In Short Mr. Ambani comes across as a ruthless and intelligent businessman where as AVoId group was caught pants down.

Overall subscriber base of Jio is the highest but it's VLR is the lowest amongst the 3 private operators 81% compared to VIL's 88% and Airtel's 95% so if you consider active userbase, Airtel still leads amongst the 3. Jio just doesn't deactivate inactive numbers so as to boast leadership by subscriber market share.

All valid reasons but theres no way Mukesh Ambani could have afforded to be so ruthless and exploit loopholes without the support and blessings in abundance from the BJP government.
How? BJP was not even in power back in 2009-2010 when this whole Jio plan was hatched by Ambani. Left likes to put every blame on the government in power but when it comes to critical thinking, they just overheat.

Do you can't able to see and give some blames to Vodafone idea own marketing and business models, policies, they are not responsible for this condition, doing their business is in their hands not in others they didn't improve it, so now the results are here

I clearly and fully blames voda.. Idea's business model and policies here

Exactly. Strange to see some people being sympathetic to them even after they hid their gross income and fraudulently avoided paying taxes. Now that their malpractices are out in open and having lost the case, they are being crybabies and threatening with closure.

Even Airtel also charged high calling and data charges and deduct balance in the name of VAS in 2G phones before Jio and avoid paying taxes in India and Profits transferred to Africa for expansion.
