As per my experience the answer is yes.. i have also faced same thing many times.. when my connection is not recharged im not getting any update even after waiting months no matter what. But the moment i recharge and connect stb to its main jio connection i got update immediately. This happened to me 2-3 times.

My jio airfiber connection is deactivated from more than a month now so my stb not receiving any updates from long time and im still on 11.0.17.01 in airfiber stb.

A new app was automatically installed on my Jio STB. App name is Jio MobileRemoteServer.

I don't know what it's use because the app is not opening.

It was already existed on all jio stb. It is companion app of jiohome mobile app remote function. It was just not visible before in app store. I think jio recently update this plug-in.
