Reliance Digital has launched two new smartphones under its ‘Water’ series, called LYF Water 6 and LYF Water 4 . The smartphones are priced at Rs 8,999 and Rs 7,599 respectively. Just like all the other LYF smartphones, the LYF Water 6 and LYF Water 4 also support 4G with VoLTE, which is also the key feature of the phone. The smartphone will be available in Reliance Digital stores across the country.
The LYF Water 6 is available in white gold color whereas the LYF Water 4 will come only in white color. Reliance Digital last launched the Water 7 in the LYF Water series, which was priced at Rs 12,999. The LYF Water 7 was also the first smartphone in the LYF range to boast a fingerprint scanner.
LYF Water 6 specifications
The smartphone comes with 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) IPS LCD display with Asahi Dragontrail protection. It also features a 5 point multi-touch feature. The LYF Water 6 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 32GB internally storage. But the sad part is the internal storage cannot be further expanded.
LYF Water 6 features
Camera wise, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and with 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras support 1080p HD video recording. The LYF Water 6 is equipped with 2,920mAh Lithium-ion battery, which the company claims is good enough to offer up to 15 hours of talktime on 4G, 290 hours standby time, 5 hours of HD video playback and 19 hours of audio playback. Connectivity options include dual-SIM (4G+2G), 4G, VoLTE, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS and USB 2.0. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android Lollipop 5.1.1.
The smartphone will face tough competition from the likes of Gionee P5L (Rs 8,499), Intex Aqua Ace II 4G (Rs 8,999). However customers can pay around Rs 1,000 extra and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 for Rs 9,999, which has a fingerprint scanner and offers better specifications as well.
