Motorola is set to showcase two Android-based smartphones on September 5, 2012, according to a document leaked online. The event, reportedly scheduled to be held in New York City, will be used to unveil the hotly anticipated Motorola Razr HD and Droid M smartphones. Droid M is reported to be available in a regular version, along with a variant exclusively for Verizon in the US.

Widely believed to be a successor to Motorola Razr, the Razr HD is expected to have a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. Like its predecessor, this phone will also have a Kevlar back-panel and is expected to be just 7.1-mm thick. The device is said to have a 4.6-inch touchscreen that can run 720p videos natively and have a 2,530mAh battery.

The version of Android OS that will power Motorola Razr HD is not known as of now, but some expect it to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out-of-the-box. However, if that is not the case, the phone will run on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Other features of the device include an 8MP rear camera and NFC capabilities.

There is not much clarity about the specifications of the Motorola Droid M as of now. However, it is expected to be closer to Motorola Razr in terms of size and specifications, however, less heavy on pocket. It is anticipated that the phone will share the processor with the Razr HD but will not run HD videos natively. It is expected to have NFC capabilities, Kevlar-based rear and an 8MP camera on the back.

The mobile looks nice.
