Ravi Shastri had already worked with Team India as the team director so had more experience

now i think tom mody will be indian men's team next head coach as he fit for eligibility criteria of indian coach and he had experienced of coaching Australia team and sri lankan team

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has received over 2000 applications for the post of head coach of Team India. However, as per a report in Bangalore Mirror, there is a dearth of big names which could have possibly challenged incumbent Ravi Shastri.
