Internal politics in afghan selectors. Everyone was against that decision being made right before the world cup. Plus you must have seen Asghar afghan doing the team talks before innings. That really shows who the captain actually is

Removing Ashgar Afghan could be politics, but then picking Naib over an experienced and respected Mohammed Nabi was baffling.

I dont think he ll be good captain..no doubt he is good player and best bowler ...but in tensed conditions rashid broke up many times and he always fails to control his anger when things are not going according to him ...he is still child and is not mature enough to lead Afghanistan ... Mohammad nabi was a good choice for captaincy

Yes bro he will learn but still nabi was not bad choice compared to rashid..who will you choose between nabi and rashid ????...its same like if india choose hardik pandya over rohit sharma as captain

Nabi had previously told that he was no longer interested in captaincy. That was a major reason why Asghar Afghan was appointed the captain.

Rashid bro. By far their most succesful player at this point of time. Nabi will retire anytime soon (or will be retired soon as part of politics)

Rashid needs to mature a little bit to take the captaincy seriously. I have been to a few Sunrisers Hyderabad matches and I have seen Rashid acting like a child too many times. When Warner was captain, he used to continuously come to him and ask for bowling like a child, eventhough warner had bigger plans to bring him around 9-10th overs..... Otherwise he is an excellent player....
