Agreed. That's the only reason i have kept cable even now. I have seen hotstar buffer even with a decent connection that i have.
One more thing is OP hasn't clarified whether he needs sports? Hes calling them useless Indian channels so im guessing he doesn't care for most of the channels.
Even I stopped caring about tv channels after watching them speed up content.

Bro you forgot All Zee network channels available on Zee5,Star channels on hotstar, and Sony channels on Sonyliv and colours on Voot if you want to see any old episode of these channels it is available free if you pay monthly it is live available, beyond this Hooq & Viu are some more, this is future and Mukesh Ambani has sensed that that's why he never purchased Reliance digital TV he knew he will make DTH dead in due course like he made Aircel, Tata Docomo etc dead and Airtel/Vodafone are on oxygen today, they are not sure about there future

I don't know if in India, we still have that environment to be dependent only on streaming resources. Broadband speed needs to be improved, as well as less downtime. I would still prefer TV anyday as of now.
Anyway congratulations!!
Will be awaiting the long term chord cutting experience from you someday..

Netflix is cheaper than DTH ?? :p

Which plan you are using bro. ??

I am paying Rs. 800/month for Netflix.:sneaky:

Digital Streaming have a caveat of good internet speed. All online apps requires atleast 5Mbps whereas there as some apps which requires 25Mbps. Not everyone have 100Mbps connectivity. I use both online as well traditional dth services. There are pros and cons for both of them. At the end of the day it depends what are you watching, even for normal users youtube is sufficient as it stream most of the popular programmes and large variety of movies for free and runs pretty good on decent speeed. So choices differs from individual to individuals. Go for the best that suits your needs. I suggest you to do a pilot test of using online services completely for a month or two without watching any content from regular dth/cable. Then make your mind whether its time for you to move on to digital or stick with dth/cable.

I have couple of my friends who are even satisified watching jiotv/airteltv on their small screen. So what matters is your choice and preferences.

The worst decision of TRAI make me to think about why I have to spend such huge amount for useless Indian television channels, I have Chromecast and Firestick and Internet connection with 375 GB data with 100MBPS speed I think it's enough to not waste my money in TV channels and the most useless decision by TRAI. Finally good bye to my Airtel DTH connection.
Good move.... I don't have any of these accounts but torrent can help me and some live TV HD sites available to watch tv channels.
