Yes Croatia looks similar to NZ if we compare football with cricket these days in World Cups. Both teams are never favourite to win still they reaches to where we expect other team should get place instead them but they can't win World Cup.

Hard Luck England.In my memory this is the 1st tournament where England has played good football.France were very lucky to win but ultimately what matters in a knockout round is who takes their chances.France took the opportunities and England couldn't.Jude Bellingham and Bakaya Sako are on verge of becoming superstars.Southgate though not the brightest of coaches has managed to breakaway from the usual English team selection of established players and has promoted young & hungry players.The Future is bright for England but may be under a better coach they can go all the way.

I am not a fan of South American and African referees most of whom are not used to handling high profile matches,gets emotionally involved in matches and are highly inconsistent.Yesterday's referee from Brazil was totally inept.If FIFA has brains they should use the referees exchange program to get these South American and African referees to officiate in European leagues and vice versa.English FA already has this kind of arrangement with Australian FA and one of the Aussie Ref officiating in PL in Jared Gillett who is doing a good job.Such exchanges should be common to improve the officiating and consistency.
