Gurgaon-based language technology firm Process Nine Technologies today said it has launched 'MOX Words', a multi-lingual keyboard for smartphones.

This will help in making smartphones Indian language enabled.

The company said 'MOX Words' will now be available on Google Playstore and Intex App store for download.

It supports languages including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Assamese and Oriya.
"Phones with MOX Words keypad can be used in the three prevalent languages of any region across the country," the company said in a statement.

It said the Ministry of Electronics and IT has notified mandatory requirements of supporting mobile phones with at least one regional language along with English and Hindi.

"We aim to reach out to more than 1 billion people who do not speak English and primarily communicate in their own native language. With MOX Words, we intend to help bridge the linguistic digital divide in the country," Process Nine Technologies COO Vidushi Kapoor said.
MOX Words has been launched in 22 official languages with a unique layout 'MOX Saral'. Saral displays all regional letters in one screen and makes it easy for any Android phone user to enter messages in their language for conversational use on SMS and Whatsapp.

It also helps users browse thousands of Indian language websites on the Internet, it added.
