This reminds me back in April 2017 when Jio removed 'free' from its service and went with all-paid plans. Speeds in my college hostel shot up like never before. From ~3Mbps, to all the way to 70Mbps...

People must be moving out of Jio in your locality...

I don't think people are moving out of JIO as there are more than 25+ Jio Fiber (as per installation guy) connections in my colony so may be most of them moved to broadband from mobile data. Also recently a new JIO tower got installed so that might be a reason.
