My speed test results are,(Vodafone 2G on Mobile)
Bandwidth : 80.8 kbps
(Down. speed :10 KBps)

Its varying time to time between 80-140 kbps.

Can anyone tell me why is there huge difference in download speed shown in Speedtest and actual file download ? For me speed test shows download speed around 2.5 Mb/s on the other hand when I try to download something say ubuntu iso I get download speed of around 400 kb/s using Internet download manager wallwall:wall

2.5 mbps is your browsing speed and download speed is 400 kbps

I get around 200-250 KBps speed while downloading for 2Mbps internet connection.

What is browsing speed? It's all about zero and one. So speedtest result and actual speed should be same. Isn't it?

well actually net speed which is counted in mbps dont mean Mega BYTES per second they mean Mega BITS per second,get the idea.

If you have a 2 Mbps download speed it means you have 200 KB of speed


So if u have a 2 mbps plan that doesnt mean u will get 2 mbps download speed

Hmm, so just marketing tricks to lure customers.
BTW 8 bits = 1 bytes so how 2 mb connection is 200 KB ?
