Its true that govt has imposed lot of taxes on fuel prices, which has in turn increased the petrol/diesel prices. Its high time gst should be imposed on petrol/diesel too, which bring down the fuel prices considerably.
Anyhow its good to question the govt but we should also beware of people who spread false stats.
@HOUSE-MD bro, can you please give the source of this agricultural production stat which you have posted? And since when RBI have started giving stats for agricultural production? I might be wrong but just curious to know about the authenticity of your post.

Yes. Agricultural production was down in between due to the drought in previous years. So overall it might be low. It helps when you analyse facts politically. Infact this year the produce is like no year before. But some don't care about that.
The various schemes have helped immensely those who have availed. Ask them to show how many farmers were insured then and now & how many have received claims, it'll put a tape on mouth.

Ritesh bro, with false facts partial representation is also a problem.

Oh yes.. that's true. There are several instances where govt is not able to explain the things/their stand.
One of the main concern is petroleum prices because many products selling prices is directly/indirectly linked with it.
Mostly hit are the farmers who are facing the heat from both sides. No rain and high price of diesel is screwing them big time. Earlier, they were using diesel for watering the fields but now they are really upset.

Plenty of rain this year in most regions. No heat for farmers from this side. They are not happy as production is bumper & they are not getting the price they want, not even MSP in many cases. If MSPs go up, people cry as market price goes up, if they don't farmers will.

Also, I don't understand why is Gobinath feeling the heat. Prices of common household items like pulses and all are much lower than past few years. Only petrol, diesel is high. Vegetables are a bit on higher side comparatively, but these have to go up anyways with time. Also so many offers from various companies for grocery, shopping, recharges, bills, etc. in fact we are saving like never before in this case.

Sure government can do much more than it is doing, but most of the criticism is just useless and fake.

Bro, things are pretty much opposite in UP. Around 25 districts have been declared Drought affected. Currently corn farmers are screwed. True there havr been floods all over but UP have received very less rainfall this year.
