There is no Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, I expected them to be there. But unfortunate injury to Naseem and Rauf chose to play BBL, and this is not good for Pakistan. Now I expect they drop Imam and give chance to Saim Ayub. Imam is not fit enough to play test cricket. Saim Ayub is young and they should allow him to play at young age. Sami Aslam got wasted. Zeeshan Malik got wasted. Ali Zaryab got wasted too. Pakistan does this. Too often. Don't even start with Afridi. He is just 125km at the best. What threat he can produce on Australian pitch?

Now he is turning Ajaz Patel and Santner into match winning prospects. They were already good, but he is doing some fine tuning. Inzamam if I am not wrong was coach of Afganisthan. Look how good, they have became. It's just not work of Trott and Rajput. It's base created by Inzamam as well. Umar Gul, he was lethal in his prime, he was never selected as a coach. Wasim Akram isn't selected as coach(I just saw his bowling against New Zealand against Oram and some other left hander). Why do you need foreign coach when you have one in your own backyard? Imagine what damage Amir and Wahab would have done if Akram was bowling coach(there were three more I forgot names. The tall man. Junaid Khan from 2013 India series, and one more who just needed to have good line, a little work on his bowling action and he could have been lethal in England and South Africa atleast) ? Even Aaqib Javed. Nothing like that happened ever. Younus Khan, Mohammad Yousuf stalwarts of modern day cricket. Yousuf scored more than 1500 run in calender year 2006 if I am correct. Younus Khan as well, he has produced good innings most of the times. Pakistan/UAE pitches are flat and almost no help for anyone. But other than they both could have been good coaching staff for young batters.

Sai ayub... Is really hyped up the Pakistanis. I looked him up on the YouTube videos. Looks extremely ordinary. He just plays his shots on the low benile pitches of Pakistan and Westindies.. Sure going to flop on aussie grounds.

Let's see. I have seen him hitting no look sixes to Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah in training camp(Just like Washington Sunder). There was video circulated one or two years back. Other players I mentioned were good. Sami Aslam was dropped for Imam as Imam was relative of Inzamam and Inzy was selector.

Your post is long so i read half but

If india can beat with swiging medium pace bowlers then paks also can they just need to put presser by good swing bowling
Also one of pak openers need to go big and one needs to play like crawley or pant / stokes tupe in lower order to get past whatever aus put

Its interesting to see aus go with starc + morris or stick with same 3 pace trio of hazle + cummins and starc

Also lets see pak include a specialist spinner or not
