The third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will see another team added to the tournament, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed on Friday (April 28). The board has already invited bids for the sixth team and interested owners should send in their proposals by May 30.
PCB wanted to add another team at the end of the season but their contract with the five franchises - Lahore Qalandars , Islamabad United, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi - meant they couldn't take the proposal forward after the first two editions.
With the increase in teams the number of matches will also go up from 24 to 34.
