After the announcement that it would be entering a new product category, OnePlus has now announced that it will be soon making a debut in more European markets for its One smartphone. The price and the launch date of the smartphone have not been detailed as of now. However, the regions where the handset will reach have been mentioned.
Brandon H, the company forum administrator stated on Wednesday that OnePlus One will soon arrive to 16 new European countries, namely Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Lativia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.
He added that OnePlus would additionally be holding events in the new countries celebrating the smartphone's launch. For now, the firm will hold events in Warsaw, Prague and Budapest on March 9, March 10 and March 12 respectively. It is not known if the firm will launch both its 16GB and 64GB One variants in the market or will launch just one of them.
European countries it was already available in were Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, France, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Austria, and Portugal.
It is worth noting that OnePlus first launched its 64GB Sandstone Black variant of One in India last year, and last month launched the 16GB Silk White version at Rs. 18,999.
OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei at MWC 2015 revealed that his company is gearing up to enter a new product category next month. Pei added that the new product is neither a smartwatch nor a tablet leaving everyone to guess what the next OnePlus product will be.
A report added that OnePlus is revamping the design of the One smartphone for its successor. It elaborates that the next OnePlus smartphone will sport a metal frame, which is likely to replace the polycarbonate build of the '2014 flagship killer' One smartphone.
