OnePlus had left the industry in limbo over the fate of the OnePlus 3 following the launch of the OnePlus 3T, but a new report from Android Authority claims that the phone has now been discontinued in the US and Europe. OnePlus has confirmed it to Android Authority that the new model will be replacing the OnePlus 3.

Even while online reports suggested that the OnePlus 3 would be restocked, it seems that the phone will not be selling along with the OnePlus 3T. Meanwhile, it is still uncertain when or if the OnePlus 3T will be coming to India. When IndianExpress.com contacted the OnePlus India team, they said that the OnePlus 3T was not yet confirmed for the Indian market; even while a VentureBeat report suggested that the phone will be making its way to India.

Considering that OnePlus was quick to bring the OnePlus 3 to India in June this year, we are expecting the launch of the OnePlus 3T soon. As of now, OnePlus has told us that the OnePlus 3 is still selling in India and that the phone will be restocked.

OnePlus 3T was launched this week, and comes just five months after the launch of the OnePlus 3. It features a new processor – the Snapdragon 821, and comes with a bigger 3400 mAh battery. OnePlus 3T also comes with a new 16MP front camera sensor, which now supports EIS.

The OnePlus 3T now comes in two colour options – Soft Gold and Gunmetal, and also comes in a new 128GB version. The 64GB version of the phone is priced at $439 (approx Rs 29,700), with the 128GB version to be priced at $479 (approx Rs 32,400).

However it will continue to sale in India. No official words for 3T on India yet.
