The Assam government has decided to shut down all the state-run Madrasas and Sanskrit tols of the state, education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Wednesday.

Sarma said the Madrasas and Sanskrit tols of the state will be converted to high schools and higher secondary schools with 4-5 months.

“We have decided to close down the Madrasas and Sanskrit tols because we don’t want the government institutions to provide religious education,” minister Sarma told reporters in Guwahati.

Been waiting for last 2 weeks. Seeing when does mainstream media covers this. Till now they are sleeping on it. Even that disgraceful Assamese journalist is busy doing Chini, Rahul Gandhi, Modi and Chowmein.

Lots of wildlife died including endangered river dolphins. Over 3000 people misplaced. IAF said 4 weeks is required. It's a shame how Oil India is so careless. This is not the first incident of oil blast happening. Yet, they are not prepared. They are now waiting on expertise from Russia, Singapore, Australia. Shame on Oil India who deserves not only to fined heavily. But should be suspended from taking any future projects in the region.
