Not really, there is an awareness in people on Dolby audio but people don't really care about it. For most people, movie is just a video but there are few who is well aware of other technical departments in a movie. OTT content providers should be more passionate about bringing technology to the people. Why not - as almost all movies are being produced with 4K and Dolby atmos. Hope things will change very soon!

Comparing to torrents will be unfair as pirates heavily compress the video degrading the quality which might be not visible to you but it's to me. Meanwhile Netflix and Amazon does compress the videos too but they cost less bandwidth to download because of their parent companies heavily invest in new technology which Hotstar doesn't. They only know to acquire content.Yeah.. correct
Also they have very bad Encoding
If you download a 480p episode in any Streaming App, it takes around 300-400MB... while in Torrents you can get the same episode in 720p in around 150-200MB

This is what I was mentioning. Poor state of affairs, yday I was watching India - Bangladesh match, it was unwatchable, buffering a lot and poor video quality. They don't want to give good service. Chalta hai attitude. Meanwhile, I have a 50 Mbps fiber connection.
