here I would like to say about Dhananjoy

You may not recall Dhananjoy Chatterjee's name, when he was executed on August 14, 2004, in Kolkata's Alipore Central Jail for the rape and murder of 18-year-old Hetal Parekh, he earned the dubious distinction of being the only person judicially executed in India in the twenty-first century so far for a crime not related to terrorism.
However, Chatterjee maintained that he was innocent throughout the trial, imprisonment and later execution that lasted for 14 years. But despite mass protests, the then West Bengal chief minister, Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee and his wife Meera, propelled a hasty conclusion to the case. Bhattacharjee had even threatened to resign if Dhananjoy wasn't hanged.

What did you expect from Buddhadeb? Acting same like the present chief minister and her cabinet members on Suzette incident?

Our society takes some responsibilities but also acts foolishly, and that’s why Dhananjoy was hanged. Even before the court judgement was out, society had decided. The chief minister [Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee] said, I will resign if Dhananjoy is not hanged. How could someone sitting in his chair say this? He had no right.
Everybody chanted, he is Dhananjoy, he is a rapist, kill him. There was no direct evidence, there were no conclusive circumstantial evidence. There was no semen found in the vagina, no tissue culture was done. There were a series of serious lapses and his family had no money to fight till the Supreme Court.

all this information I've collected from internet...at that time, when he hanged I was just 10/11 yrs.
