Netflix is increasing its monthly subscription price for its video streaming customers in the United States and Canada amid growing competition from other streaming services like HBO Max and Disney+. The California-based company said Friday that the monthly subscription prices are going up by $1 to $2 in the US depending on the plan.

This should encourage Disney to merge Disney+ and Hulu and offer it at $14.99 and a bundled ESPN+ for $20.99.

The US version of Disney+ is lacking general entertainment appeal as of now to penetrate further into US households. Hopefully, The Beatles: Get Back viewership gives a clear insight into what needs to happen in that front.
