Great News! Lot of people were misusing this trial offer by creating multiple accounts or other ways. Netflix should start ad based free subscription atleast for select content, entirely paid subscription driven model won't succeed in India
Very good decision. Free trial should be only for a day. Not for a whole month. So many people misuse this option by creating fake accounts. It hurts their business. It also should be limited to maximum two devices for a single account and a 30days lock-in period to remove any unused device from their account..
Yeah... so instead of Banning various Tricks and Virtual Cards, they decided to stop giving Free Trials. Smart Move!
Maybe they got fed up by people discovering new methods everyday to get free trials.

Stupid move. Both Netflix and Spotify offers best experience. But people won't know about it. If they don't try it once. They should have atleast given 7 days free trial. Most can't even buy Netflix without virtual cards which no longer works as their current cards don't support Netflix. It's easier to pirate than go to bank and request a new card.

Netflix can't succeed in India. Its contents are global. lndian and south indian contents are very very less and not good too. When a company starts business in a country it should have basic business strategy by giving importance to the local viewers. But Netflix sits in ivory tower and least bothered about indian contents. It must atleast add regional language audios to its global contents. Unless Netflix become country specific, it can't survive.
Those who are smart to try virtual cards and multiple accounts have better ways to watch TV shows. I wonder why Netflix did it, perhaps the mobile plan.
