Folks in Bangalore, I need some help in choosing the next fiber connection here in Bangalore. I currently have a JioFiber connection, but off late I've been seeing dramatically increased pings in PC and console gaming. This is not an issue on just one or two games, but a lot of them.
I thought it could be a device issue, but I've tested it out on games in a laptop, an old gaming PC and a brand new gaming PC that was built just a week ago (a post coming soon on this BTW once I'm done buying all peripherals)

Speed tests do not show any issue. Speeds are 300 Mbps and above, and pings also show relatively single digits as well.
Then I took my laptop to a friend's house who has JioFiber and there I could not see such issues. I registered a complaint, technician came and visited but couldn't see any problems with the router. Thus I decided to end my JioFiber connection.

Which now brings me to the available options in Horamavu. I'm willing to pay anything less than Rs. 2300pm (incl GST) for a connection:
  • ACT Fiber: Lightning Bonanza with Mesh router (500 Mbps) @ Rs. 2240.82
  • ACT Fiber: Incredible with TP Link router (600 Mbps) @ Rs. 2358.82
  • Airtel Fiber IPTV Plan: 300 Mbps @ Rs 1886.82
  • <There are others too like Hathaway and Excitel but I've heard pathetic reviews about them, especially Hathaway so don't want to consider them>
For ACT, it gets its edge through their insanely high speeds. With the mesh router plan, we also get OTTs.
Airtel gets its edge through the bundled IPTV channels and OTT offering.

How's your experience been dealing with service requests lately on ACT and Airtel? I know ACT has been really good when I had it in the past, but want to see what people with Airtel have to say.
Had ACT also provided IPTV or bundled cable, I would've really considered that, but Airtel's IPTV is really attractive too...

Airtel Fiber is good bro. Better loaded latencies compared to JioFiber which results in better browsing experience.

Airtel gets its edge through the bundled IPTV channels and OTT offering.
This is true. IPTV is similar to DTH with all the live tv channels, unlike Jiotv+ which has a mixture of digital and OTT combination channels.

If Jio could have launched their Live TV service by now, it would have gave tough competition to Airtel but that's not in their roadmap it seems. 😴

Airtel Fiber IPTV Plan: 300 Mbps @ Rs 1886.82
Also, if you are able to get Airtel Axis Bank credit card, you can get 250 monthly discount on your Airtel Black bills. 😃

I am not sure about Bangalore, as my relatives have been using JioFiber, i do not know now.

As for me, I am using Airtel Fiber (FTTH) at my home and office since few months now, and I must say the internet browsing experience is great.
I haven't faced any downtime or speed reduction/slowness till now.

Pings are quite good and i get it between 10-15ms, cannot speak of gaming as i am not a gamer.

As far as IPTV is concerned, i haven't used it, but have heard good reviews from this forum as well as outside of it.

I cannot comment on any other ISP as they do not have any presence in my city.
