MTech admissions at DTU end with high cut-offs

New Delhi: Delhi Technological University, formerly known as the Delhi College of Engineering has concluded its admissions to M Tech. Courses with a combined consideration of 80% GATE score and 20% interview by the selection boards of various departments.

The university has declared its list of selected candidates on its official website and the selected candidates are required to collect their admission letter from the head of the department and deposit their fees from July 7 to 18. Those selected candidates who fail to take admission by July 18, will forfeit their right of admission and the vacant seats will be offered to the wait listed candidates. The wait listed candidate's names have also been displayed in the website with that of the selected candidates.

Compared to year, the cut-offs for M.Tech. Courses for various departments have been much higher. For courses like VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, the highest and lowest GATE cut-offs have been 99.41 and 98.14. Likewise for Microwave and Optical Communication, the highest and lowest GATE cut-offs have been 99.77 and 98.07 respectively. And for Signal Processing and Digital Design, the highest and lowest GATE cut-offs have been 99.56 and 98.54.

This year, DTU had received 2,840 applications for its 17 M. Tech. programs with a total intake of 359 seats. The number of applicants was about 40% higher than the last year.
