Moser Baer has launched India's first credit-card shaped USB flash drive called 'Moser Baer Zap'. It fits easily in wallets, card-holders and pocket books because of its ultra-slim size and shape.
The Moser Baer Zap pocket flash drive comes in only one variant with 4 GB storage capacity. It measures 84.15 X 52.83 sq. mm and weighs merely 10.25 gms. With USB 2.0 interface (direct plug-n-play), it is compatible with Win 2000/XP/ME/Vista/7, Mac OS 9.0 or later versions and Linux Kernel 2.4.0 and higher versions.
Priced at Rs. 1,100, the Moser Baer Zap pocket flash drive has been introduced with a warranty of 2 years. The product is currently available at Moser Baer's online store at a special introductory price of Rs. 399. It will be available at dealer outlets across the country soon.
While the MRP of 1,100 seems excessive for only 4 GB of storage, the device has the potential to to be popular at its introductory price. What Moser Baer really needs to do is add more variants in terms of storage, for the product to have any kind of legs in the long-term.
