Microsoft has been showing a lot of love to iOS and Android lately. For example, itrecently launched its Cortana personal assistant on both platforms, and released a Microsoft Selfie app on iOS. And soon, iOS users are going to get a new goodie to play with.

Microsoft is bringing its Word Flow keyboard to iOS. This is the stock keyboard found on Windows phones, and it’s often praised for its speed. In an email sent to members of the Windows Insider Program, Microsoft says that it’s working on bringing the Word Flow keyboard to other platforms, starting with iOS.

There’s no word on when the Word Flow for iOS testing will begin or when Microsoft is aiming to launch it to the public. It’s also unclear what “other platforms” Microsoft might be planning to launch Word Flow on. Considering the size of the Android user base and the fact that Microsoft has launched several other apps on that platform, though, it wouldn’t be a shock to see the World Flow keyboard eventually make its way to Android as well.

The news that Microsoft is planning on bringing World Flow to other platforms is exciting. Having more keyboard options is always a good thing, and as I said before, the Word Flow keyboard has gotten its fair share of praise in the past. We’ll have to wait and see exactly how well Word Flow performs on iOS, but if you’re dissatisfied with your current iOS keyboard, this could be one to keep an eye out for.
