• Deepika Kumari tumbled out after losing in the opening round of the individual event.
• Manoj Kumar who cruised into the pre-quarter finals of the 64 kg men's boxing, making it Five Indian boxers in the Pre–Quarters.
• India has lodged a formal protest with the Games organisers to probe if the women's doubles badminton match involving Japan and Chinese Taipei was fixed. If the match was proved to be fixed India will go through, thus making Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa still in contention.
