The Central Bureau of Investigation on
Thursday sent documentary evidence
to enable the Interpol issue a Red
Corner notice against tainted former
Indian Premier League chairman Lalit
Modi who is wanted in India for evading
laws on taxation and foreign
exchange.
Last week, after the Lalit Modi
controversy resulted in the complete
washout of Parliament's Monsoon
Session, the government had said it
will issue a Red Corner notice against
Modi soon. "We will issue Red Corner
notice against Lalit Modi very soon,"
Minister of State for Information and
Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh
Rathore had said.

The Enforcement Directorate, which
wants Modi to come back and face trial
in India, had asked the Central Bureau
of Investigation to issue a Red Corner
notice against the cricket czar.
