As soon as we refer to 10-wicket haul in an innings - the name of India's legendary legspinner Anil Kumble pops up in everyone's mind. Kumble picked up all 10 wickets in the second innings of the Delhi Test against Pakistan in 1999.

But the feat has now been matched in a state-level tournament by Madhya Pradesh's young leg-spinner Palash Kochar.

Palash, playing in Inter Divisional Mway Memorial Trophy, picked up all 10 wickets in an innings against Narmadapuram. The opposition batsmen had no answer to Palash's leg spin and fell like a pack of cards.

Talking exclusively to Pradesh 18 , Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association statistics expert Mahavir Arya said, "Palash in his 28.1 overs picked up 10 wickets for just 53 runs. He bowled 10 maidens as well. No one before him has ever picked 10 wickets in an innings (at this level)."

Palash has been performing consistently for Madhya Pradesh in stat -level tournaments. Last year he was the highest wicket-taker in the inter-divisonal tournament and also won the best bowler award in the under-23 category.

Jim Laker was the first player to take all 10 wickets in a Test match innings, 10 for 53 in the Australia's second innings of the 4th Ashes Test at Old Trafford in 1956.
