No offense to anyone, Consumers have the right to demand quality services for their money. A company exists for business, but that doesn’t mean consumers must accept all its decisions. If a service doesn’t meet expectations, consumers can voice their opinions, and companies risk losing them. Many members here who are Jio broadband users feel the JioHotstar Super Plan isn’t worth the subscription fee compared to the previous JioCinema premium benefit, and expressing this isn’t offensive. End
Also they have monopoly. They have the rights to national sporting events. There is no alternate means but to watch content but from JioHotstar.

I thought ipl streaming free like jio cinemas last time but jiohotstar just give 3 hrs free viewing to non subscriber for a month
Everyone's hyped up about JioHotstar merger, especially to escape from JioCinema's bad UI and experience, but no — what we've got is way worser than what JioCinema offers. Let me provide you a list:

1. Removed regional language commentaries in all major cricket matches, in WPL, IPL and ICC Champions Trophy. Removed all match replays which were telecasted earlier in JioCinema.
2. Same theory applies to SplitsVilla XV. That season alone released in Hindi and Tamil audio tracks in JioCinema, in which Tamil audio tracks got removed upon migration to JioHotstar.
3. JioHotstar is no longer a part of OTT aggregators like Tata Play Binge, Times Prime and OTTplay.
4. Switching to hybrid payment model, especially the one you've mentioned.

While 3 and 4 were meant business, 1 is definitely on the verge of taking away the regional language sports audience. 2 seems to be alright, because SplitsVilla is never meant to be telecasted in any other language, other than Hindi in the first place.

Long story short, JioHotstar is struggling to keep up with the scarce storage. It's very surprising how two 256 GB smartphones, which were Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema respectively, now merged and downgraded into a bare 64 GB smartphone, which is JioHotstar.

3. JioHotstar is no longer a part of OTT aggregators like Tata Play Binge, Times Prime and OTTplay.
Timesprime still lists JioHotstar but now its separate OTT recharge, costlier than what JioHotstar itself offers.

Only the match replays are gone. Live match regional commentaries are still there..

which Tamil audio tracks got removed upon migration to JioHotstar.
I think it was available in Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi also. They have removed all Languages now, I think may be issue caused during Migration

1.Also JioHotstar have removed Real time Language based Trending in Search
2. Before Merger Hotstar used to Show only Content from which language we have selected, But Now they are Showing all Languages in Home Screen other then which we have selected.

In my opinion, it seems none of the JioHotstar regional X IDs (Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam) are actively posting IPL updates on X. Only updates about new shows and movies on JioHotstar in their regional languages can be seen on their X accounts. Star Sports Tamil, Telugu and Kannada (the TV channels in which they are telecasting IPL matches) are actively posting updates on IPL.

That's why the lack of regional commentary of all IPL replays in JioHotstar makes sense.

Only the official JioHotstar X account posts updates on IPL, along with the new movies and webseries in English and Hindi languages (primarily, along with other languages). This heavily contributes to the reason why JioHotstar provides only IPL replays in English and Hindi.

Maybe, they'll include the regional commentary on the 20th season of IPL, which is on 2027.
