"For what happiness did they merge?".
Off topic: Channels shut down, JioHotstar getting removed from Ott aggregators, Jio Broadband users getting degraded watching experience by pushing ads through super plan. Inferior experience with the app especially TV app. And now content getting removed. Seriously this merger is getting really worse day by day. May be Uday Shankar breathes cricket and IPL not oxygen. That's all he wants.

In India content drives money and they want maximum money.

Those who watch English series is a few percent compared to those who watch IPL, ICC and India matches.

Broadcast all cricket create monopoly and generate revenue from all the people who subscribe to JioHotstar for cricket show them ads and generate even more revenue from ad agencies

I'm a cricket fanatic, I do watch all cricket formats. But it shouldn't be excessive and overkill. Pathetic.

Kill becomes the first movie to use the new JioHotstar Logo

Interestingly, it was certified on 22nd December 2024 (50 days before JioHotstar was officially launched) yet it has used the new JioHotstar logo

Maybe this was the reason why its WTP was delayed to March despite getting the UA certificate in December

We mock Jio left right and centre wherever we feel like, Yes Jio is the culprit, it shouldn't have made data cost effective at first place, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, amongst others, were looting Data at around Rs.300 per GB 3G Max, calling packs/charges additionally, even today after the so called price hikes (which people may say Jio Initiated but Airtel and VI followed within no time), we're still far from Rs. 300 per GB that to in 5G.
Yes, Jio is the culprit.

I get your lingo! But point is when you start wearing the jhola of a prophet but come out with a mask tab log toh bolenge hii anyways!
They never said they will offer everything for free. They are here to make money not for charity. It's a listed company so they need to answer the investors.
Coming to content, they will keep content which will make them money, even netflix removes lot of content on a daily basis. Prime is just sh#t now with rental model.
And I just can't understand if people are not interested seeing ads they can just opt for premium subscription and it's still cheaper than any other ott presently for the amount of content.
