What is your ONT model?R3.7 Same Problem![]()

What is your ONT model?R3.7 Same Problem![]()
Having the exact same issues with the recently updated 3.7 version.I see
I'm not sure but it should be sometime in last month, as problems started happening since then, recently checked and saw few features got removed from the LMUI.
Now in the Jio Home app, I cannot set which SSID should have which band, previously I had two SSIDs one with 2.4GHz band and another with 5GHz, I got quite a lot of devices spread across the house so I generally manage my stationary devices with particular SSIDs for stable connection (basically I don't let them juggle between different APs by themselves). so now there is no such option to set particular band for a particular SSID, now it's like, Primary SSID and Secondary SSID, this results in the devices constantly juggling between the two bands, resulting in streams buffering, calls dropping, VPN connections constantly getting reconnected, etc...
And guess what you can only set the SSID names and passwords through JioHome app, even MyJio app doesn't work while changing the names, it shows all wrong info, doesn't even show all the APs, and if you try to do any change it will say changes will take affect after sometime, but it never does, their whole system is completely messed up rn, all started happening after this update.
Today, I wasted my entire day trying to setup Bridge mode, I was able to enable Bridge mode one time, but Internet didn't work, and then once I rebooted the ONT it never loaded the LMUI again, factory reset it and what I ended up doing is setting up another Router as an AP, so that at least I can get one AP with stable Wifi (or that's what I think, doubtful coz I also faced issues on the ethernet once, after this update).
Will keep updating here, I think I have to reach out to the Jio guys to update my ONT and then try Bridge mode on that, I'm just not sure how will I explain this issue, they will just show me speedtest.net results and call it a day![]()
As I saw only tplink XZ000 G3 works with Jio Fiber which is available here, I also ordered it and waiting, it will probably take another 10 days to arrive.I just ordered an ONU, will try once it arrives tomorrow. In case it doesn't work, I will cancel this connection and order another one with my wife's account.
Exactly, this is the problem, as it merges the bands, the devices keep on disconnecting, switching and go haywire.I read on the internet that this new R3.7 firmware merges both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wifi bands into single wifi and we can not configure them separately like before on the MyJio app, it's now similar to how AirFiber does. Is that correct?![]()
Why jio is making these changes in fiber router also. This is simply downgrading.Jio has been informing their engineers about the ONT firmware update the changes; especially the 2.4/5Ghz wifi bands merge.

Can anyone tell me where can I get previous firmwares for my Jio Fiber ONT (JCOW404) as it got updated to R3.7 lately and things really bricked, the SSIDs automatically gets switched from 2.4GHz to 5GHz and vice versa, and that's why I think the wifi devices keep on getting reconnected again and again, the LMUI is also broken, there are a lot of settings missing, even the option to Reboot the router got deleted, I understand their idea of controlling the Router remotely with the MyJio network apps, but cmon, there should be an option to disable it as I manage my own router from last 10 years. No matter what settings I change it gets replaced by their image after sometime, it doesn't even let me change the SSID of the 5Ghz band, even I'm facing frequent connection outage on ethernet, everything is just so messed up I want to throw the Router and move to another service provider at this point.
I tried this URL but it's not found

Thankfully (for now?!), my Jio Fiber router is one of their oldest models (JC0500) that we got when they were field testing Jio Fiber in early 2019 at my parents' city (Salem). It appears to have a relatively older firmware (from October 2024) for now, with the dual bands intact. Here's to hoping that it stays the same way!

It's very surprising that your ancient ONT was not yet replaced from Jio end.Our Jio Modem (JC0500):
The Dashboard (Overview) page shows that the 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz bands are intact for now.
