If Jio introduces standalone validity for its 4G data vouchers it will make many ppl port to it. 11rs for 1 GB is good but only if it had a 1 day validity and if 21 voucher had 3 days, 51 could have 7 days and 101 for 14 days

exactly that is what ideally ,

but JIO want to arrest port-out from its network so they just removed Rs19 plan, which was giving 2 days validity and sufficient for generating UPC code.

so anything like 3/7 days validity are not going to come in jio. because such voucher should also come with FREE VOICE and SMS as per Mr MDA comminitment.

What i am expecting is that now DATA in new oil, many subsciber has already consolidated sim and running only 1 sim card. or many just keeping old number handy and almost everybody carrying dual sim phone.

So JIO,airtel and even BSNL are alredy offering DATA only sim cards. JIO offering via jioLINK and RCOM subciber , airtel providing data add-on on postpaid sim and BSNL providing 10 DIGIT mobile number via WINGS.

so within few quarter, we shall see DATA ONLY sim cards, which dont have voice feature in it. This make new category of sim only for DATA, OTT, or Dongle comfortably.

Even DATA only ESIM based handset/dongle can be game changer for many WFH or those who are on move/travel.

in these cases/SIM rcv 11/51/101 can provide validity.

Its a good idea, subscriber can't port out with data vouchers.

But the 151, 201 and 251 wfh plans provide purely data without any voice and SMS. Where is the commitment in that case? If it applies to wfh why not extend it to data add ons?
