Jio introduced voice + SMS only plans after TRAI mandate; hikes value pack prices

Telcos are now in full mood of using duopoly as weapon to blackmail government. I think government should conduct an spectrum auction where these incumbent operators are not allowed to participate. Only international new companies like Orange, MTN, MTS , Docomo should be allowed to participate. If we get 2 new operators, we will get reasonable tariff with better service. Incumbent are doing this second tariff hike in last six months and government is helpless. Even with tariff hikes, so many reforms rolled out by government, their network coverage, customer service is not improving and rather deteriorating only. Government should make it clear to these operators that any waiver on AGR will only come if they improve services and not keep their tariffs reasonable.

they have removed the value plans with data. Now only two value plans: ₹1958 for 365 days and ₹458 for 84 days. No data,only voice. This is live on the app.

No plans as in the first post yet.

They have added data booster pack of ₹139 for 12 gb and ₹69 for 6 gb whose validity is active plan.

Yesterday I purchased 8 vouchers of 479 but none of them showing under my vouchers , any idea guys?

Now both Airtel and Jio has reduced their voice only plans price little bit than earlier.

Actually Airtel launched plans with higher amount, thinking jio will follow same but jio launched comparatively cheaper plans, so airtel reduced it
