Have they stopped uploading 20min highlights? Could only see 7min & 14min highlights of yesterday's match ☹️

Jio should have made it free only for Jio SIM users starting from the basic pack. That would have put Airtel in it's place. Users would have flocked to port their number to Jio.

Also, this source article says that the customer has to pay 325 or more to watch it on TV, which is incorrect. Customers can get it for as low as 175 per month. I do understand that the cable operators might be forcing the consumers to subscribe to the curated packs. However, that should have been mentioned clearly.

Italic part intentional to highlight that it is a DDF topic. It's only to highlight the misinformation in the article, and not to be replied and dragged into further off topic.

If Star doesn't care. What's Airtel problem here? If they had to target Jio they should've gone about how Jio is providing linear channels on JioTV without having to follow TRAI's regulation. But than again they themselves are offering something similar via Airtel Xstream app.

And the real tears will come out next season when IPL is not free. And is discounted for Jio customers.

IPL 2023 has a new streaming record. 22 million concurrent viewers tuned into the last over of the CSK v/s RR match on Wednesday, as MS Dhoni turned back the clock ..

This is very likely to happen next year. They didn't pay so much for bagging the digital rights to give it away for free even though they get the Advertisement revenue. Viacom18 wanted to test the waters with the free streaming and give the people a taste of the services so that next season onwards when they charge, people are willing to pay.
It is highly possible that Jio subscribers may get the jio cinema app subscription complementary with the unlimited mobile and broadband plans and the subscribers of other operators may want to switch to Jio for the same.

Well it may continue in future as well, as free-to-air and paid content being different and having implications on viewing experience. That move would be smart marketing.
