Breaking Jio announces 5G Beta trial program with unlimited 5G in select cities

Guys, I have got upgraded into Jio welcome offer but while checking in My Jio app, it's asking me to check whether 5G is enabled in handset network settings everytime.

I have already enabled 5G/LTE/3G/2G (Auto connect), but still this is happening in My Jio.

TBH, I don't think that 5G is live anywhere near my location. Do they only send invitation after launching 5G near my location or will I get invitation if I do travel through places which have 5G already, as I did travel through places having live jio 5G, according to speedtest map.

You will have to wait for Jio to update their database to add your device for compatibility settings.

Anyone else facing call drop or missed call issues in 5G? I usually have this missed call issue where I'll simply get a message about call being missed though I stay very close to the tower with full signal. This has increased with 5G enabled. I'm on VoWifi with 5g enabled, yet i see this problem. Anyone else?

Yes call drop is the biggest problem in 5G only mode. I'm facing it even after switching off VoNR in developer mode as network team suggested to me for seamless call connectivity as there's still no VoNR active.

You will get 5G invite if you travel through place with 5G that is how I got invite

iOS 16.4 Dev Beta 3 has removed Standalone Toggle. But 5G works and I am seeing Vo5G calling for the first time from my home without switching to LTE. This beta has also enabled 5G on iPad Cellular models. 5G reception is supreme on iPad due to better antenna placement and I am hitting 900-1000 Mbps speeds inside my home. My iPhone does 500-700 Mbps at same place. Pixel 6a does 200-400 Mbps.

I will test Vo5G calling tomorrow to see if it was random fluke or if they have permanently enabled it.

I don't notice much change in voice quality. Feels same as 4G calling.

Did u try WiFi 5? It does max WiFi speeds for me that's 700-800Mbps on WiFi 6 when main phone does 1+Gbps

its working for you bro ? ia m tried everything and usb tethering also but not working its devices issues or jio ??
