imo, most important thing is antenna/transmitter gain for coverage. Wifi4/5 are perfectly adequate to support any application you are likely to run for most scenarios...
having said that. I have airfiber, but my plan is 30mbps. i have absolutely no use for 1gbps wifi when i cant take advantage of it over the internet. could perhaps be useful for local backups, but like i said above, i'd much rather have a wifi5 router with good antennas than a very limited wifi6 router with poor range.
it's like with phones, they keep bumping the processors, bettering the screens and updating the software but in terms of everyday usefulness, even phones from 10 years ago can run whatsapp, youtube, chrome and instagram perfectly...
