IPL 2018: Inaugural ceremony shifted to April 7

Indian Premier League (IPL) tournament is all set to get start from 7 th April 2018. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Monday that the opening ceremony date of the 11th edition of IPL has been changed and it will be now held on April 7 before the match.

Prior, the inaugural ceremony was slated to be held on April 6. The first match will be played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) IPL Franchise. As per BCCI officials, the date of opening ceremony has been shifted after the consent of Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators’ (CoA) order.
