So Impact Player Rule will continue in IPL 2025 , 2026 & 2027 also as per Point 8 😮
May be this point is also taken in account so that dhoni can play purely as akeeper and a pinch hitter if needed otherwise not and in 2027 he will retire and join csk as a mentor like bravo who used to play for knightriders in cpl and after retiring joined kkr in ipl as mentor

With these rules there’s no scope for teams like Punjab, Delhi, RCB to do well in the auction.

These rules are tailored for a few franchises to protect their brand value…

the BCCI has introduced a substantial change to the way the RTM option will function during the auction. Where previously, the team could simply agree to match the highest bid amount at the auction to claim the player, this time around, the highest bidder will be given one final opportunity to further raise their bid before the team holding the RTM claims the player.

For example: If Ravichandran Ashwin is being auctioned and Royal Challengers Bengaluru has placed the highest bid of INR 6 crores for him, then Rajasthan Royals (Ashwin's current franchise) will be first asked if they wish to exercise their RTM (provided they have one). If RR agree, then RCB will be given one more chance to increase and place a final bid. If RCB now raise it to INR 9 crores, then RR can use their RTM and re-sign Ashwin for INR 9 crores.

Still not clear on one thing though.
Let’s say a franchise decides to use the RTM card and teams keep bidding. Let’s say in this example RCB wins after bidding along with RR, does RR get back the RTM Card or they lose it?

If they are refunded the RTM card, it’s a big red flag because teams can use the RTM card to constantly bring down other team purses
