He can be used as replacement to Varun Chakravarthy if he is injured as back up & he can be part of Playing 11 in Pitches like Chennai, Delhi which helps spinners.

Still, he's too good a player to be benched..

You have to look for a Balanced team KKR already have Narine, Varun in playing 11, 3 Spinners in playing 11 cannot be good for Team balance.

T20 is both Root and Smith's week suite. My expectation is that both are going to go unsold. Root is not able to break into English T20 XI, no way he's getting any bids here.

Yes! They can retain anyone with they have contracts the prior season as long as they don't cross the limits set by IPL.

Same like Zampa. He too was a replacement player

I was expecting him in the auction, now Jameison will be the main target.
I don't believe in spending high on Starc, as he has a history of injuries and also pulling out of IPL very late.
