Yes, I think Admin desabled attachments in http://dreamdth.com/Forum-Computer-Internet-Broadband itself. I didnt find in other thread too.. even its not available for New Threads also.

if you are using cracked version, it will not detect updates..

no , updates are not detected only if you patched .host file in drivers

and i was using it before too and no problem for me till now
