Introducing more shopping tips with Cortana in Microsoft Edge - Windows Experience Blog

The feature works similar to current Cortana features where you see Cortana display notification in the address bar if there’s helpful information available for the site you’re on. When you visit the site of a supported retailer, Cortana will alert you that there are other options available at a lower price for the same product. Once you click on the Cortana icon, the information will be displayed in the right pane within the same window.

Firefox 54 Finally Supports Multithreading, May Beat Chrome on RAM Usage
After eight years of work, Mozilla just took the wraps off its multi-threaded rendering engine and declared it ready for the general public to use. The new Firefox 54 is capable of using multiple threads simultaneously — a major step forward for the browser. In a new Medium post, Mozilla’s Ryan Pollack discusses how the multithreaded engine works and what advantages and differences Mozilla brings to the table compared with Google Chrome.

Chrome uses a separate content process and engine for each website instance,
but Firefox reuses processes and engines to limit memory usage.

Google Chrome is less of a drain on a laptop’s battery power than Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox, according to tests conducted by a YouTuber.
Canadian YouTube star Linus Sebastian, also known as Linus Tech Tips, took it on himself to test how much battery each individual browser saps.
The tests were carried out after Microsoft said their Edge software was far better at preserving battery life than any other browser - including their rival from Google.
He carried out the tests on four identical Dell Inspiron laptops and on each computer their bloatware was disabled.
Linus left the laptops running overnight, and the browsers surfed the web via automated scripts.
Chrome users may have ANOTHER reason to pick Google browser over Microsoft Edge
