How many of you have updated your BIOS/UEFI to to patch the Spectre vulnerability ?

Intel said that the recently-issued patches for flaws in its chips could cause some computers to reboot more often than normal
The company said it might need to issue updates to fix those buggy patches
Previously, reports said Intel was asking some of its cloud computing customers to hold off installing patches that address new security flaws

The patches tried to tackle flaws called Meltdown and Spectre that, if exploited, could expose important data.
Many reported that their machines slowed down or stopped working when they applied Intel's updates.
Intel said it now knew what caused these problems and was developing fresh patches that would work better.

Intel recently admitted that its latest patch for "Spectre" was essentially worse than the bug it was supposed to fix, as it was causing computers to spontaneously reboot. Now, Microsoft has taken action by issuing an out-of-band patch for Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 that disables that fix for Spectre variant 2. If you're experiencing the problem you'll need to download the update, as it won't yet install automatically.
