Instagram is planning to launch a separate app for Reels.

Instagram is reportedly considering launching a standalone app for Reels to compete with TikTok, taking advantage of its uncertain status in the U.S.

In my opinion it will be a good idea as instagram used to be a photo and video sharing app once. But few people may differ.

Yes, much needed.

Instagram has lost its charm after it launched reels in 2019. Before that it was purely an photo sharing app used to keep connect with people.

Reels are overated where people are misusing it and creating reels on any topic. AS a result peoples concentration levels have become short to 90 seconds. I personaly have got so used to the short videos that i do not have patience to watch a normal/longer duration video.

People have gotten used to getting quick and fast information.

Thankfully if reels get seperated like threads app, it would work out as only those interested will insall it. Rest of the people can just enjoy Instagram.

Even though they're releasing separate app I don't think so Instagram will get back to good olden days. The crap remains same
