Facebook, Twitter May Face Action for Not Complying With Intermediary Rules

We should. There is too much nonsense on SM. Govt should bring strict rules and try to control them at least a little bit. Twitter and YT have become too much toxic recently.

Yes, but this will tarnish country's reputation. You can see no sanction against Turkey despite controversial social media laws.

The pressure will not only come from US. It will also come from UK, EU, Australia and other reputed countries expect for China and Russia ofcourse. Banning big social media giants will haunt the government everywhere.
